Hockey teams meet The Ryleys for second time
U11 hockey v The Ryleys (home)
Report by Daisy Lee-Browne
On Wednesday 23rd November we played hockey against The Ryleys. We had a strong start and in the first five minutes I managed to slip a goal in. Georgia Jones followed by scoring our second goal of the match. There was some good defence by Hannah Bloodworth and the ball stayed in the Ryleys half.
We had a quick drink and then we went back into the game. The Ryleys pushed forward but we held them back. The match ended with Rydal winning 2-0. Thank you to Mr Wales for umpiring and to Mrs Pyves for coaching us.
Final score: 2-0 to Rydal Penrhos
U10 hockey v The Ryleys (home)
Report by Scarlett Spillane
On Wednesday the 23rd of November, the Under 10 hockey team played The Ryleys. We started off with first pass and soon we got it down to the goal, but unfortunately the defenders from the Ryleys were hard to get past and soon it was at the other end. Brona gave the ball an almighty whack and Anna ran down the wing passing neatly to Amy, who missed the goal by about 20cm. Then the whistle blew for half time.
After a quick talk we were back in play and unfortunately the Ryleys scored. We fought back as hard as we could but we didn’t score and before we knew it the final whistle blew, leaving the score 1-0 to the Ryleys.
I’d like to thank the team:
Amy Bale
Phoebe Taylor
Brona Richardson
Tilly Lewis
Keira Bonnington
Anna Parry-Williams
Hannah Mew-McAdams
Holly Battersby
Thank you to Mrs Pyves for organising the match and making me captain.
Final score: 0-1 to the Ryleys
