Holiday play scheme

The holiday play scheme is open for 50 weeks a year, during the Christmas, Easter and summer holidays. It provides an extensive programme of activities which the children can experience, and helps assist them with their emotional, physical, social, intellectual, language and creative development. But of course, they don’t realise all this: for them it is just good fun!

We vary the activities throughout the day to retain your child’s interest. Outdoor play and sports activities are included most days. Local outings are arranged on a regular basis and most weeks we have the use of the school swimming pool for a session.

The play-scheme is open for all Rydal Penrhos Preparatory pupils from the Early Years department through to year 6.

Opening Times
The play-scheme is open from 8.30 am until 5.30 pm.

Morning Session:8.30 a.m. – 1 pm
Afternoon Session:12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Full Day Session:8.30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

There is a late session which is available from 4 pm until 5.30 pm.

Food and Drink
The play-scheme promotes healthy eating with snacks and drinks being provided throughout the day. The children bring their own packed lunches, which are stored in the refrigerator.

Transport

The holiday play scheme may set up a bus collection and drop of service for the children that use the club in the school holidays. Please complete the attached document if you are interested.
